Last evening, riding back from the office was a real pain.. Took almost 2 hours to reach home - just a distance of 29 kms.... (Avg. speed = 15 kmph!) which is sickening! And worst of all... survived again! Survived 4 attempts on life! :( Attempt 1: Was coming on Old Madras Road - somewhere near NGEF Railway lines and saw that there was quite some space on the left corner of the road. It had rained and was also drizzling. Thought I could make it and started behind a Honda Activa. The Activa female made it through, but i was abt to fall inside the ditch which was on the road side.. just coz my rear tyre got into a puddle! I know it was craziness to do this.. but i decided to be in the middle of the road and not take further chances.. Well, My third weekend of Aug saw me going towards Pondi... Was supposed to meet Sanju at her PG and go to Vinayak's place. My time of meeting Sanju was 20:00 but i got delayed and conveyed the message to Sanju.. Surprise was that even she was delayed and we met by 20:45, were promptly picked immediately by Snigs in Vinayak's LOLA! When we landed at Vinayak's pad for dinner, we had a group of 9 already there and we had to wait for dinner as well as two more people! The plan was to have dinner and push off by 11 so that we reach Pondi for sunrise.The cab arrived on time, but there was a last min plan change and it was decided that we would be taking the Golden Quadrilateral to reach Chennai and then, take the ECR road to go to Pondi.. which meant an xtra 150 odd kms. I dunno if travail is the right word there or not.. but again, as per the dictionary, "Travail" means "Hard Work" and travelling in the last two weeks has really been strenous, enjoyable and a great learning experience. On 7/8/7, a thought just came to my mind as to how it would be if i went to Jog and my mom's native place which is Bikkali and a few other places nearby taking mom along with me.. And without allowing my mind to think of a second thought of working that weekend of 11th and 12th, I just called Kumar and booked his Sumo for a trip and stressed that I want him and only him for the trip.
