An Update...

I am now back to my earlier workstation. There is
no internet access from here. :o(

I was pretty busy with work from the past one
month or so... Hence, I am sorry for not being
able to make many posts. All that I am doing now
is just blogging through mail and whenever I get
5 mins of internet time on a friends comp, I log
on to blogger and republish the blog coz if the
blog is not republished, my post does not get
displayed on the blog... strange isn't it??? I
have not been able to check my personal mail
too.. So, if anyone has left any comments on my
blog, I would not be able to know that... sorry
folks.

I am currently in Pune, staying in official
accomodation in LeMeredian. Pune is an amazing
city, and though it is raining continuously here,
the people seem to be as active as they normally
would be, just going on with their daily work.
The roads are not that great and we have a bumpy
ride into the office from our hotel. The office
is abt 30 kms from our hotel. The best part is
that there are no traffic jams and to travel 30
kms, we take abt 45 mins max (which includes our
stoppage at another person's place on the way).

In Bangalore too, my house is 30 kms away from my
office, but it takes atleast 1.5 hrs-2 hrs for me
to reach home from the office, 1-1.5 hrs for me
to reach office.

I am forcing myself to hope that I will resume
blogging at the earliest... so till then, I'll
just post a few forwards. I guess I might be
reaching 50 posts, I am not sure abt that too...

Till then, this is Sukumar signing off from Pune,
doing his night shift and posting this blog
through his official email address....

Ciao...

Secularism -- Majority and Minority

This post is not dedicated to anyone and is just a forwarded email which has been copied and pasted over here... and i am forced to assume that this is the truth! I had posted earlier on the same topic and here i go again! Talking abt majority and minority as a part of the comments in my previous post, i was forced to put this in points below: 1. Do you consider that - Sanskrit is communal and Urdu is secular, Mandir is Communal and Masjid is Secular, Sadhu is Communal and Imam is secular,VandeMatharam is communal and Allah-O-Akbar is secular, Shriman is communal and Mian is secular, Hinduism is Communal and Islam is Secular? 2. Why Godhra is blown out of proportion, when no-one talks of the ethnic cleansing of 4 lakh Hindus from Kashmir? 3. When Christian and Muslim schools can teach Bible and Quran, Why Hindus cannot teach Gita in our schools? 4. When Haj pilgrims are given subsidy, why Hindu pilgrims to Amarnath, Sabarimalai & Kailash Mansarovar are taxed? 5. If Muslims & C...

The Truth - "Kannada Barutha"??? Kannada barbeku!

"Kannada Barutha??", ah! I am sure most of you in Bangalore would have heard this, but what is "kannada barutha?" here it goes. Bangalore the IT capital of India , the silicon city and now a Metro city opened its gates to almost all kinds of people. Very evidently the recent poll census proved that there are only 47% of original inhabitants in Bangalore/bengaluru. The life style of the city has seen a gradual change with Pizza Corners replacing MTR's, classy eat out's replacing "Vidyarthi Bhavans" and flashy pub's replacing all our "Mahalakshmi wine shops". "Change is inevitable" from the days of BEML, HAL and BHEL to INFOSYS, WIPRO; Bangalore has a new look now on the world map. Gone are the days where a typical Sunday for any bangalorean was a nice romantic walk on the pavements of "LALBAGH...", "rave idli and coffee.." at the nearest yet old looking MTR and a wonderful Annavra film either at Santosh o...

Love or Infatuation

Infatuation is instant desire. It is one set of glands calling to another. Love, on the other hand, is friendship that has caught fire. It takes root and grows - one day at a time. Infatuation is marked by a feeling of insecurity, you are excited and eager, but not genuinely happy. There are nagging doubts, unanswered questions, little bits and pieces about your beloved that you would just as soon not examine too closely. It might spoil the dream. Love is the quiet understanding and mature acceptance of imperfection. It is real, it gives you strength and grows beyond you - to bolster your beloved. You are warned by his/her presence, even when is away. Long distances do not separate you. You want him/her near, but near or far, you know he/she is yours and you can wait. Infatuation says, "We must get married right away. I can't risk losing him/her." Love says, "Be patient, Don't Panic. He/she is yours. Plan your future with confidence." Infatuation...
