The person with the bare back is the priest chanting the shlokas and doing ayudha puja. The person leaning towards the cubicle with his hands folded is our company's Vice President Mr. Ramesh and the person having the laptop in his hands is our system admin. Mr. Jinesh.
The laptop's keypad was adorned with a flower and the puja of the laptop done! Then, it is being used as a video camera!!! Yes, you read it right.. a video camera!
This is a Toshiba laptop with a camera (for webcam purposes).... That was being used to record the Ayudha Puja and the recording was supposed to be sent to the US for one of our clients... Wah wah.. kyaa plan kiya hamare VP ne..
But that 10min recording got stored in the .avi format and the total size of the video file was 2.25GB!!! So much for a recording!!!
That was what i call "Optimal Usage of Resources!!!" he he he

And this whole making religion a public affair annoys me... why have these sort of religious activities at public places like office, educational institutions, hospitals etc where people from all religion pursue different aspects of life..
Thankfully I was on a vacation when my office did the Ayudh thing..otherwise I would have ended up having an argument with them..
We people of the majority always make it more and more obvious to the minority that they don't belong to us they are different.. always reiterating the 'us and them' divide.
Did we at the offices celebrate eid? We didn't but we have to do auydh...why? Coz Eid isn't ours...it's theirs...bloody hell
PS. the anger is not for you suksy..
My advice is not to be here even during Diwali times... offices celebrate Lakshmi Puja too...
And when u spoke abt majority and minority, i'll post a forwarded email on that in a couple of days.. lemme c ur comments on that!
NOTE: The retaliation is not towards you personally but towards your thoughts of minority and majority and abt "Indian" Festivals! :)
